Victoria University to host vaccination day for Pasifika students

Pasifika Covid vaccination day wellington

Victoria University of Wellington will be hosting a Pasifika Covid Vaccination Day on Friday 24th September from 9am to 4pm — one of a number of ethnic-specific vaccination events happening across the country this week.

So far 65% of eligible Pasifika residents in Wellington have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Organisers say the focus is now shifting towards ensuring younger people are getting vaccinated.

The one-day event will be held at The Hub, Kelburn Parade, Victoria University of Wellington. Appointment bookings are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcomed as well.

To book an appointment, simply visit bookmyvaccine.co.nz and enter SC660F8PCG as the access code. For those visiting by public transportation, Metlink has offered free transportation for trains and buses only to those who are attending the vaccination day.

Normal procedures of scanning QR codes, wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing will be followed. For those who are getting their first dose, make sure to provide full name details, date of birth, current address, and cell-phone number.

The Pasifika Covid Vaccination Day was made in partnership with Victoria University’s Office Assistant Vice-Chancellor, the Victoria University’s Pasifika Students Association, Pacific Health Services and Tu Ora Compass Health.
