The Covid-19 pandemic forced us to stay home to save lives. Most Kiwis got help from the Government, but there were some who missed out. These people are overstayers, in New Zealand illegally and unable to access help. As John Pulu reports, one Tongan community leader has made it his mission to help them out.
In 1995 Te Akapuanga Kuki Airani opened in Porirua, and for over 25 years the community hall has been a place of belonging for Cook Islanders in the Wellington region. But now the hall is in dire need of repairs following a storm late last year. Johnson Raela with this story.
