A Pacific boxing legend, a workers’ rights advocate and an Ōtara community and youth worker were among those to receive their Queen’s Birthday Awards in Auckland recently.
Presented by Governor General Dame Patsy Reddy, they were part of a large cohort of Pacific people to receive the award this year.
