Nominations are now open for the SunPix Pacific Peoples Awards 2021.

The awards recognise outstanding individuals in six awards categories – Pacific Community Leadership, Pacific Education, Pacific Enterprise, Pacific Emerging Leadership, Pacific Health and Wellbeing, and Pacific Service Excellence.

The awards ceremony will be held on Friday 5 November 2021 at The Trusts Arena in Henderson, Auckland. Tagata Pasifika presenters John Pulu and Marama T-Pole will again be hosting.

Now in its 7th year, the awards continue to grow. This year’s ceremony is anticipated to be double the size of last year with a seating capacity of 600 people, and a limited number of tables will be available to purchase.

“The SunPix Pacific Peoples Awards are the premiere event recognising contribution by Pacific people to Aotearoa. The unsung heroes’ stories will make your heart sing as a community punches well above its weight,” says SunPix Director Taualeo’o Stephen Stehlin.

Chair of the Pacific Business Trust Tevita Funaki has described the SunPix Awards as “the Oscars of the Pacific Communities in Aotearoa”.

Nominations are open until 10 September 2021. Nominate here. For more information visit sunpix.co.nz/awards
