A controversial UN convention designed to eliminate discrimination against women or better known as CEDAW has divided the tiny Kingdom of Tonga. The Government of Tonga is pushing to ratify CEDAW but there is strong opposition from mostly church leaders who say allowing this convention will destroy Tonga’s religious values. John Pulu looks into this further in this report.
