Māngere’s Favona Primary School celebrates Niue Language Week

Favona Primary School in Māngere, Auckland marked the beginning of Niue Language Week with a special powhiri for new teacher and fourth Niue language exponent among its staff, Lynn Lolokini Pavihi. For almost 13 years the school has embraced Niue culture and language among its students, hosting after-school vagahau Niue classes for its community, what the school’s Niue staff hope to expand on.
