If you’re looking for something cute with a splash of Pacific beauty for your little one, then look no further! Polybubs is the home of Pacific infused baby essentials.

Founder Jane Uimaitua saw the importance of having Pacific designs on blankets, something she struggled to find when it came to getting one for her son’s birth announcement. She resorted to using a lavalava at the time, but it was only when her daughter was born two years later where she took on the challenge of designing and printing her own Pacific inspired blanket.

“When my family [saw the blanket], they loved it so much and wanted some so I ordered a couple more. Seeing our babies wrapped in these gorgeous blankets made me want to share it with other Pasifika mums and [that’s how] Polybubs was born,” Jane shares.

Launched in 2019, Polybubs has been a beautiful addition in every family home. From Pacific infused muslin wraps to playmats, milestone discs, birth announcement plaques, beach towels and many more, Jane is proud of creating a business that helps maintain and promote the beauty of Pacific culture within homes.

“With this ever-changing world, we are becoming more multicultural and younger people are finding it harder to connect to their culture. It is very important to keep Pacific identity strong within our next generations,” she says.

When creating her products, Jane ensures the safety for pepes is the priority.

“I try to make sure that my products are one piece and there are no loose ends or choking hazards. When dropping new products, I like to always order multiple samples from different suppliers as I like to see and feel which is the best quality.”

For her Polybubs playmats, Jane has increased the padding from 220gsm to 280gsm to provide extra support and safety in case of falls. Her muslin wraps are made from 70% bamboo and 30% cotton so it’s extra soft and breathable for our precious pepes.

“I am super proud of all my products, and I truly love them all. However, if I was to recommend one product it would probably be our best seller, our Pacific inspired playmat,” she says.
“It displays our beautiful motifs from around the Pacific and comes in a generous size of 130cm in diameter.”

Polybubs is excited to drop a new muslin wrap design and a playmat design in the upcoming weeks. Gift bundles are currently in the works to make it easier for customers to give gifts to their loved ones. Playmats are currently sold out but will be available at the end of the month.
