It’s been four years in the making and last night, Freshman’s Dance Crew were finally able to bring their latest show ‘Māui’ to the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre in time for Matariki.

“I think we learn about Māui being a Māori character,” says director and choreographer Hadleigh Pouesi.

“But you do a bit of research, Māui has his footprints throughout all the Pacific.”
