Samoan ‘edutainer’ Kap teaches Polynesian survival skills to YouTube star in new series

Kap Te’o Tafiti with Bretman Rock

Renowned Samoan tour guide Kap Te’o Tafiti surprises us with his recent feature in ’30 Days With: Bretman Rock’, a new YouTube series from our favourite Filipino Beauty Guru and Social Media Personality Bretman Rock.

Kap takes on the role of the Jungle King/Warrior as he teaches Bretman Rock how to survive in the wilderness. With more than 30 years of experience as the Samoa Village Senior Ambassador at the Polynesian Cultural Center, we see no one else better fitted than Kap to take on the role. He teaches Bretman Rock how to create shelter, weave baskets, find food, climb trees and make fire.

Famously known for his tour guide videos in Hawai’i, Kap is no stranger to cultural education and Samoa entertainment. Various videos show Kap opening a coconut with his bare teeth, climbing coconut trees, creating fire with rubbing sticks, and putting out fire with his bare feet. It’s no wonder he was chosen to be Bretman Rock’s Bootcamp instructor.

Born and raised in Samoa, Kap graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a degree in Fine Arts. Throughout his career he has educated and entertained guests from all around the world, including church and government leaders and celebrities. He’s even worked with The Rock, as the Samoan cultural advisor for Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw.

Check out Kap Te’o Tafiti in 30 Days With: Bretman Rock Episode 1 above. He appears from 9.15 (Bootcamp Begins).
