TP+ NIUE CONSERVATION

Niue has established a Marine Protected Area (MPA) over 40% of the waters in its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). It’s an area that covers nearly 127,000 square kilometers of ocean. The initiative was part of the Niue Ocean Wide (NOW) project to manage the island’s resources through a public-private partnership between the government and local NGO Tofia Niue.
