Major changes to the New Zealand health system announced in April last year came into force on Friday, July 1. The changes mean the 20 DHBs or District Health Boards around the country have all been scrapped and replaced by ‘Te Whatu Ora’ – Health New Zealand. And running this new entity is former Counties-Manukau DHB boss Fepulea’i Margie Apa. Marama T-Pole Caught up with her about what the changes mean for Pacific People.
