Youth members of the Tokelau Hutt Valley community perform a fātele (dance) composed by Niko Tuia. This fātele was first performed by the Tokelau Hutt Valley for the 1998 Tokelau Easter Tournament held in Taupo.
The words of the fātele connect us to the history of Gagana Tokelau and the narratives of the past and present. The pokihi, the movement and actions of the fātele, take us on the journey expressing the narratives and stories of these songs.
