Melanesian Salusalu have announced the first ever Melanesian Festival of Auckland that kicks off this Saturday in Henderson.
Festival lovers will be treated to a taste of Melanesian Food, art and crafts, performance groups and artists. Live entertainment from Solomon Island’s Fiakal, Fiji’s Music Queen Georgina Ledua, the soulful voice of Sassy and much more.
The festival celebrates the unique culture of Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Fiji, Solomon Islands and New Caledonia.
Organisers are excited to see the melding of diverse communities coming together as one Melanesia. The festival is supported by Pacifica Arts Centre and Creative New Zealand.
