Martin Scorsese, Serena Williams, Stephen Curry, Gordon Ramsey… Some of the world’s most coveted talents have shared their secrets and expertise on one of the internet’s most popular e-learning websites, MasterClass.
Now Parris Goebel will be joining their ranks and counting her name amongst these greats as she prepares to helm her very own masterclass.
The Samoan choreographer, dancer and model recently revealed the news on her Instagram, putting a callout to her followers for suggestions on what they’d like to learn from her.
“I’ll be sharing my most coveted secrets to my work,” Goebel wrote. “Really think about what knowledge you need from me to elevate you as a creative, artist or choreographer.”
From film to sport, to business and music, MasterClass offers a range of varied classes with the ability to ‘learn from the best anytime, anywhere’, and students have the ability to access their classes on any device.
It’s unclear when Goebel’s classes will be released. In January it was announced Goebel had been selected by Sony Pictures to direct the film adaptation of ‘Murder on the Dance Floor’, a 2013 theatre production which Goebel devised, based on the game Cluedo.
Goebel has already directed a large number of her own productions, including projects for Justin Bieber, Ciara and Rihanna. This will, however, mark the first time Goebel will direct her own feature-length film.
