Christmas tis the season to be jolly. However, the festive season will still be a tough time for many in the Pasifika community due to the impacts of Covid-19.

It’s another Christmas with Covid, and many social service providers are feeling the strain.

In our talanoa this week, John Pulu spoke with Kathleen Tuai-Ta’ufo’ou from the Siaola Vahefonua Tonga Methodist Mission and Tupetoa Ronji Tanielu from the Salvation Army about what support is available at this time.

For support from the Salvation Army contact 0800 53 00 00 or check out their website here.

For support from Siaola, you can contact them via their website here.

The Village Community Services Trust run by La’auli Sir Michael and Lady Maliena Jones is also offering support this Christmas. The Trust can be accessed through its Facebook page, where there is an online booking form for support.
