This week NZ Horticulture and RSE Awards dinner was held in Tauranga. The Manaaki awards went to two Pacific organisations, the Nelson Pasifika community trust and the Aotearoa Tongan Health Workers Trust for their support of RSE Workers during Cyclone Gabrielle.
Here to shed light on the significance of the award and issues in the sector is Tongan community leader Pakilau o Aotearoa Manase Lua.
