Last year the Human Rights Commission released it’s Pacific pay gap report which told us pretty much what we already knew, that Pacific people get paid significantly less than others in the workplace.
Government is now yet to pass pay-transparency laws which could level the playing field but until then, Pacific workers continue to struggle for pay parity at a time of high living costs and economic recession. Just how does this pay gap translate to ‘real world’ living right now?
