Deputy Prime Minister Carmel’s Sepuloni’s Pacific mission came to an end on Friday, with a final series of engagements on Thursday in Tonga. Travelling with the DPM was a delegation of MPs, officials, NGO, business and community representatives.
The delegation took in the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Tonga, the visit reaffirming New Zealand’s strong ties with these countries.
During her visit, Sepuloni announced various funding initiatives in the area of climate change and resilience, youth development and also support for the regional Pacific Games in Honiara in November.
