Samoa’s Aga Reef Resort has made it to the semi-finals of Luxury Travel Advisor’s Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World contest.
The contest is open to the public through online polling, and hotels are separated into four regional brackets: The Americas; Asia and Indian Ocean; Europe; and Africa, Middle East and Oceania.
Aga Reef Resort beat South Africa’s Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat in the quarter-finals after receiving 60.36 percent of the vote. The Samoan resort was then declared the default winner of the Africa, Middle East and Oceania category “as a result of unfair competitive play” by another competitor, and will now face the winner of the Europe category for a spot in the finals.
Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the lush green mountain backdrop of Upolu’s south coast, Aga Reef Resort is an intimate boutique resort surrounded by gorgeous Samoan scenery. For guests looking for absolute luxury, Aga Reef Resort also has an exclusive VIP villa with stunning lagoon views and a private plunge pool.
The resort is the only Pacific Island destination in the Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World contest, and many across the Pacific have backed Aga Reef as the Pacific’s representative.
