As a result of our Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board (Ōtara Subdivision) by-election, Labour Party candidate Lorenzo Kaisara has been successful with his bid and has been elected with 1512 votes.
The final results have been officially declared in a public notice announced yesterday. The by-election followed the resignation of local board member Swanie Nelson in March.
Four candidates stood for the position. Lorenzo led with 1512, Albert Jackson (Otara First) with 404 votes, Angela Hann 331 and Nevaeh Tawhi-Marster with 304 votes.
