Public Interest Journalism funded through NZ On Air
Organised by the Projekt Team, New Zealand’s leading Hip Hop and Street Dance Freestyle and Battle collective, #TheSoundProjekt competition gives Māori and Pasifika performers a platform to participate in the arts. Held in celebration of Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa, the month-long hybrid battle competition combines dance and beat-making into the first ever competition of it’s kind in Aotearoa.
