“Whilst making this film…it was a dream for me to bring this film back home. I felt that Tonga really needed this, I felt that the youth needed this and I felt the need to tell my story.”
Dame Valerie Adams made the trip back to the Kingdom to showcase her documentary ‘More than Gold’ with the people of Tonga. Upon her arrival she was celebrated with a traditional kava ceremony and was welcomed by school children in her village of Houma.
The team behind the film hosted a number of screenings with VIPs, community groups and schools inside Tanoa Hotel in Nuku’alofa.
