The 2024 NZ Radio and Podcast awards celebrate the best of broadcasting in the country.
And while the Silver winners for the 2024 NZ Radio and Podcast awards have been announced, the remaining finalists will be revealed at the special ceremony at Skycity Theatre in Auckland in June.
With the introduction of the new categories of Podcast to the awards Pacific broadcasters are being recognised for their skills and talents on the digital airwaves.
Veteran award winning news reader Niva Retimanu is again a finalist for Best newsreader.
Finalists for the category of Best Pacific Podcast are: RNZ Nationals – Pacific Waves and Against The World, Flava’s Island Roots-Auckland Ways and Fair Game:Pacific Rugby.
Receiving a special commendation for the Best Pacific Language Programme category is PMN Cook Islands language show broadcast nationwide on 531pi/Pacific Media Network.
The NZ Radio & Podcast Awards accepts entries from all New Zealand radio stations and their staff, New Zealand advertising agencies, podcast creators & producers, production houses and others who contribute to broadcasting in New Zealand.
The awards will be held on June 6.
