Lockdown: Covid puts strain on Pacific families

A survey by the Commission for Financial Capability following lockdown earlier this year found Pacific families were the hardest hit financially. It comes as no surprise to Vaiola Budgeting Service in Māngere, who’ve managed to save 22 families from mortgagee sales. But in the midst of another lockdown, they fear they won’t be able to save everyone. Moana Makapelu Lee has this story.
