Meet Ministry of Education Pacific Education Award Winner Le’ausālilō Dr Sadat Muaiava.
Le’ausālilō has been a Lecturer in Va’aomanu Pasifika at Victoria University for the past 10 years. In 2020 he completed his PhD in which his doctoral thesis examined Samoan Text based Language Change, during the years 1906-2014. His breadth and depth of indigenous Samoan knowledge and passion for Samoan language and culture, has seen him author his first book titled ‘Lauga – Understanding Samoan Oratory’.
