A Fijian Bravery Medal winner and a Former National Party MP were among those to be invested with their honours in Auckland last week.
Bravery Medal Winner Meli Balenivalu received his award from the Governor General Dame Cindy Kiro after being named in the 2024 New Zealand Bravery Awards list. He was cited for an act of bravery while working in a Dunedin Supermarket back in 2021.
The rest of those to be invested were honoured in this year’s King’s Birthday honours list in June and included Former MP, Anae Lupematasila Lima Arthur Anae and a stalwart of the Niue Arts community Zora-Estelle Feilo.
