New book aimed at young readers on journey around the Pacific

With school holidays around the corner, a new book has hit the bookshelves in New Zealand.

Island Toes Tamatama’i Vai O Motu takes young readers on a journey around the South Pacific, no shoes needed!

The New Zealand edition has been translated for Samoan readers by Auckland teacher Suzie-Jo Rasmussen who is a bilingual specialist teacher who has been translating books and creating Samoan resources for children for more than 20 years.

Author Christin Lozan who hails from Hawaii now based in San Diego decided to write her own story for Pacific children.

The book is being released in honour of USA independence day celebrations.
