Solomon Islands singer/songwriter Jarol Local, winner of the Best International Pacific Artist at the 2019 Pacific Music Awards, will headline the pre-game entertainment for the Kiwibank Pasifika Challenge II: Road To Japan double-header at Eden Park this Saturday.
He will be joined by crowd favourites SWISS and Punialava’a, who will be performing between the Manu Samoa/NZ Heartland XV and Tongan ‘Ikale Tahi/Flying Fijian games, as well as local singers The Shades and DJ Al Goodie.
Four local schools – Avondale College Pacific Fusion, Māngere College Samoa Group, Pacific Advance Secondary School Cultural group, and Wesley College Fiji group will also be delivering cultural performances celebrating the Pacific nations in the competition.
The Pasifika Challenge II starts at 2pm with Samoa v New Zealand, followed by Tonga V Fiji at 4.30 pm.
