Marama T-Pole | Presenter
Teremoana Rapley has been named one of this years Taite Music Award recipients for her contribution to music and advocacy for Pacific artists.
Her career began in 1987 with Upper Hutt Posse and later Moana and the Moahunters before embarking on a solo career. She’s also no stranger in front and behind the camera, thanks to her time as one of the presenters on TV show Mai Time.
Last week the announcement of her award was overshadowed by the news that she’s living with brain tumours, and in some media coverage, has just months to live. Joining Marama for our talanoa today is Teremoana Rapley.
