Dame Valerie Adams announced her retirement from sport this week bringing the curtain down on a stellar career. The winner of 2 Olympic and 3 Commonwealth gold medals plus several world champion titles in the women’s shot put, she dominated that sport for well over a decade. Dame Valerie spoke to John Pulu about about making the tough decision to hang up her size 14 throwing shoes.
