Earlier this week Te Pāti Māori organised a National Māori action day to protest new government policies they say unravels decades of progress for Māori. This includes switching from Māori to English names on government departments, to re-writing laws to make mention of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.

Is this a sign of things to come or are we reading too much into it? Here to give their views are artists Amiria Puia-Taylor and Michel Mulipola.
