The opening of Te Papa’s ambitious new art gallery, Toi Art, is showcasing the work of the Pacific Sisters, a collective made up of Pacific and Māori female creatives. The group was formed in the early ‘90s, and the exhibition, titled ‘Pacific Sisters: Fashion Activists’, looks back on their 26 years in practice.
