The abundance of community donations to the West Auckland evacuation site has amazed volunteers. Saveatama Eroni Clarke says, "there is a feeling of despair, but there is also a feeling of hope. And I think that's been a wonderful thing that a lot of the services and our wider community have brought."

They say 'it takes a village, and this week's expo, My Baby's Village, held in Auckland, is about collectively caring for Pacific infants' health and wellbeing, children, mothers, fathers, carers and families.

Kicking-starting rewarding and sustainable career paths for young Pacific people in Aotearoa is the goal of a new programme introduced by Downer NZ in partnership with the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.
