Pacific heavy metal band, Shepherds Reign who hail from South Auckland, are set to open for American rock group Disturbed at Spark Arena on March 15th.

It’ll mark a significant milestone for the band, known for their electrifying live shows and unique fusion of Polynesian culture with heavy metal music.

Weaving their culture into their set, the band will perform with Polynesian dancers, percussion players and Wahine Toa Siva Afi performers.

“We are beyond excited to be opening for Disturbed,” says Shepherds Reign frontman Filivaa James.

“It’s a dream come true for us to share the stage with such an iconic band. We can’t wait to bring our energy and passion to the Auckland crowd and show them what Shepherds Reign is all about.”

Formed by musicians of Pacific, Māori, and Asian descent, Shepherds Reign has quickly risen to fame with their powerful stage presence and signature sound.

Their sophomore album, ALA MAI, released in August last year, showcased their blend of traditional Pacific rhythms with heavy metal.

The collaboration between Shepherds Reign and Disturbed promises an unforgettable experience for metal and rock enthusiasts.

With their chart-topping hits like “Le Manu” and “Aiga,” Shepherds Reign has captivated audiences worldwide, and their performance at Spark Arena is expected to be no different.

Tickets for the concert are available now through Ticketmaster.
