Samoan Tenor Pene Pati has been nominated in two categories for Germany’s most prestigious award for classical music, the Opus Klassik 2025 awards.

Opus Klassik honours outstanding projects and artists who inspire, captivate, and set new standards in classical music.

This year there are 30 categories. Pene is up for Male Singer of the Year for his rendition of Nessum Dorma and for Solo Recording Singing of the Year. The 38 year old took to social media to thank his fans and Opus Klassik for the nomination.

“I put a lot of heart into recording “Nessun Dorma,” alongside my colleagues in the Opéra National de Bordeaux orchestra (ORCHESTRE NATIONAL BORDEAUX AQUITAINE) and conductor Emmanuel Villaume, and it means a lot to be nominated!”

Pene is also a member of the popular award winning trio Sol3 Mio. The winners will be announced at the end of June.
