A storm is brewing in the Cook Islands over what many say is a backdown by lawmakers to do away with a part of the crimes act which makes it illegal to be a homosexual.
The chance in heart has come from the Parliamentary Select Committee that’s supposed to re-write the law. Instead, they want to keep it, and in fact, widen it. John Utanga has this story.
