Pacific Peoples minister Aupito Wiliam Sio says the region will welcome the New Zealand government’s decision to declare a Climate Emergency.
The declaration commits the government and the public sector to going carbon neutral by 2025 and, in doing so, New Zealand has joined 32 other nations to formally acknowledge the global crisis.
