Last week, Deputy Prime Minister the Hon Carmel Sepuloni underwent a six-hour ordeal to receive her malu, the traditional tattoo for Samoan women.

Of Samoan, Tongan, and Palgi heritage, the Deputy Prime Minister has a big year in politics ahead, so why did she decide to receive malu? That was one of the questions reporter Gladys Hartson put to her in our talanoa this week.
