All Blacks experience ‘Ava ceremony in South Auckland
The All Blacks were welcomed to Papakura with an ‘Ava ceremony yesterday.
The ceremony was the start of their special visit to South Auckland this week to meet school students and health workers during a three-day camp to prepare for the Steinlager Series.
The team are participating in a range of community events, which include an umu cooking experience. Today players are spending time meeting health workers and locals at a health expo in Ōtara as well as the local Covid-19 vaccination. A group of players will also be making a surprise visit to two schools.
Patrick Tuipulotu talks about the special trip above.
The All Blacks are set to go up against Tonga and Fiji next month.
