The best of the best in New Zealand sport were recognised at the 2019 Halberg Awards last week. Weightlifter David Liti was among those nominated, and shot putter Madison Lee-Wesche took the Emerging Talent Award. But the highlight of the night went to sporting legend Beatrice Faumuina, who was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame.
