An Auckland councillor is calling on people to support the world's biggest secondary school Pacific and Māori performance festival when it gets underway from Wednesday.

A new play inspired by the Māori and Pasifika staff who worked at Crown Lynn, an iconic Kiwi crockery factory in Auckland, will debut at Te Pou Theatre in May.

Minister for Pacific Peoples Dr. Shane Reti has announced dates for the 2024 Pacific Language Weeks which aims to celebrate regional unity and the contribution of Pacific communities to New Zealand culture.
