Measles epidemic: ‘A very sad time for Samoa’ as death toll rises

#WATCH The death toll continues to rise in Samoa as the measles epidemic ravages the country. According to the latest reports from Samoa, 20 people have died so far, most of them children.

A state of emergency has been declared and vaccinations made compulsory. Children up to the age of 19 have now been banned from public gatherings and schools have been shut down to stop the disease spreading.
